Kids, Food, Crafts and Husbands-

Another great activity for the kids is, take them outside in the yard or on a nature walk. Have them pick up leaves and twigs. Find a nice tall clear vase have the kids pour there findings in and display as a center piece.
-

So this year I am gonna bring back and Old Holiday craft. All you need is Oranges and Cloves. Let the kid make thier own design with the cloves and set them out for display and great smell.

November 22nd, 2008kidsSo I had to take my 4 year old to the dentist. She is very strong willed she try’s and gets her two cents before anyone else can. So I was dreading it the whole time because last time she cried the whole time, and the time before she had to be sedated. Well I found a dentist I liked and that worked really well with her.
She spoke to her like an adult and treated her with respect and trust. My daughter dosen’t open up to anyone and she was very responsive to her dentist. So overall walking away with all my sanity in tack all I could say is go with some one you and your child are both comfortable with. It makes a big difference.

November 19th, 2008MomThis economy is making budgets tight for a lot of people. So I want to let you in on some of the tips we use in our own house to make money stretch.
First I would say get on a budget, know what you’re making and what you’re spending. This will also show you where you can cut back and get extra money to save. I know when our family did a budget we were spending a lot on fast food and snacks, we were just nickel and diming our way to the poor house
Budgeting has opened our lives up to smart spending and allows us to do more and stay out of major debt.Food is a major expense and with three kids plus a husband to feed it takes a lot to keep food on the table. We used to shop when we needed something, those little trips not only wasted gas but also wasted money since we only picked up what we needed for the day or week and not what we needed for a month. Something had to change. We found Costco. Now we shop once every two weeks for the bulk or our grocery items in bulk. This has saved us thousands of dollars over the course of two years and we have more food in the house.
Get a second job or sell stuff. When it’s tight you may need to bring in extra cash to either eliminate debt or make your life more comfortable. You can take on a second job but that’s a tough thing to get working with everyone’s schedule or you can just sell stuff online. Ebay makes it easy to sell stuff online, from old but good kids clothes to even vehicles and houses. We sold several vehicles thru Ebay this year and it’s really quite simple, fun and profitable.
So hopefully this little bit of info is helpful I will be expanding on budgets and Ebay in the next couple of days.

November 17th, 2008cooking2 cups flour
2tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 3/4 cup milk
6 tablespoons oil
2 eggs
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt - then mix milk oil and eggs together
Pour wet ingredients into dry bowl.
The trick is not to over mix or they will not be light and fluffy. It is okay if it looks a little chunky.
Let sit for five minuets and then cook. The kids will love them. Serve with jelly, honey, or syrup
*If you prefer organic ingredients feel free to substitute.
